There has been a lot of incorrect information shared on Facebook regarding this application. The statement below is from the Secretary of State's office on the 02nd September 2026.

For confirmation the application was presented to planning committee and determined contrary to officer recommendation. Being over 150 dwellings the application was then referred to the Secretary of State to confirm if they wish to ‘call in’ the application, ie. Whether they would like to consider the merits of the application before it is issued as a refusal. In this case the SOS declined to call in the application and the refusal notice has now been issued. With any refused application there is a right to appeal. The ‘call in’ review does not preclude this.
